Is Office 365 a Right Solution for your Business?

Microsoft Office 365 is  a subscription plan that includes Microsoft Exchange (hosted on line) for your email and Office Applications such as (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) plus other productivity services that are enabled over the Internet or most commonly referred to as the Cloud.  These services include Lync Web conferencing and additional online storage, Skype and OneDrive.

The subscriptions are based on per user per month and can be purchased as low as $4 per month per user.  Many Office 365 plans also include the desktop version of the latest Office Applications which the users can install across multiple computers and devices.   If you already have the latest Microsoft Office (2013 or 2010) installed on your computer you do not need to purchase those subscriptions.  You can also get Office 2011 for Mac with your subscription.  Office 365 works best with Office 2010 and Office 2013.  I have seen it that it will work with Office 2007 but if you have Office 2007 I would recommend to get the subscription that comes with a copy of Office 2013.

Office 365 Mobile Apps include, Office for Ipad, Office Mobile, Outlook Mobile, OneNote, Outlook Web Access (OWA), Lyn Mobile and SharePoint Newsfeed.

Office 365 is highly scalable and can support everything from a one-person business to thousands of users. Most small businesses with their domain names and emails that are set up on a Pop account basis or have an old Exchange server are the right candidates for Office 365.  The minimal subscription costs vs. the cost of installing and maintain on-premise Exchange server and dealing with Email issues such as spam and downtime makes it a no-brainer for the small businesses.

We at CEO have moved and continue moving many of our clients to Office 365.  We have utilized services of Skykick to migrate our larger clients to Office 365 seamlessly.  We can do the same for you and let you know that if Office 365 make sense for you or not.
